Christian County is a county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. Christian County is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Between 2000 and 2010, it was the fastest growing county in Missouri and one of the fastest growing in the nation as the county became more suburban due to the booming growth in Springfield. ==Geography== According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of , of which is land and (0.2%) is water. The county is drained by James River and branches of the White River. The surface is undulating or hilly.
